Obviously I wouldn't want to digest any of the girls. I'd need them alive to digest me the next week. I'd just need to make sure I knew who the rebellious girl was...

And now the mental image of a scared Mayl sniffing and hiccuping in Lan’s stomach, terrified of being digested, while he rubs her from the outside and assures her that as tasty as she is he’d never digest her, is stuck in my head.
