Seeing as staying in the desert was probably suicidal (not that that had any meaning for her any more,) Alex decided to risk whatever horrors might be lurking and began trudging towards the monolithic structure.

In a short time, she'd reached the temple and had climbed the first set of stairs, only to grind to a halt at the plaza above. Looming before her, a beatific smile on her face, was a Martian Giantess.

"Welcome to my temple little one. What brings you here?"

"Ah..." Alex faltered momentarily, aware of her acute edibility; not all of her encounters with gargantuan women had ended with her curled up in one of their stomachs, but enough had for her to be nervous. "I... I'm being pursued by Ravagers. Do you have a safe place you could hide me?"
