The true story of The Alchemists, Fairton, and Little Charlie
By Misterebony
NOTE: This story is fiction.
I have been waiting a long time to tell this tale. It is not a pleasant one, but it does tell a truth. Living here in my home beside the sea Ihave seen many things. My search of the nearby area has yeilded a tome. THE tome. It tells the truth about the alchemists and their demise. But it also tells something else.
The birth of a certain immortal humanoid. Charlie.
The true origins of my home. Fairton.
Most imprtantly, how my original home, Seraphim, was populated.
******************
I will not relate much of the tome. Much of it tells of the greatness of the alchemists, a race of humans and fursons. Their achievements were vast. THrough their art they could create potions that could do the impossible. Through their arcane ways they could summon up land from the sea. Reformation was noting compared to their arts, for they could summon demons, mold matter at will, even cheat death. In many ways, they were NEARLY immortal themselves. But nearly was not enough, for even though they were longer lived than any being today, they were NOT immortal.
And then there was their explorations. THey could travel to other worlds, many of which were recorded and I myself have seen with my own eyes. They saw a world of machines, worlds where humans alone thrived, others were fursons had enslaved humanity, even a world were everything was edible! They had accomplished much with their many great deeds.
And then they got greedy. In all their greatness and slendor, they wanted more. they felt that they could do anything. Especially one thing they had never done before: Create life from nothing. No need for sex or anything, just form the matter out of nothingness into a flesh being. And worse, everyone wanted to do it first. But NO ONE succeeded.
Or so I originally thought.
Where the change occured was in a small secton of the tome, relating to "Experiment Isiah", so named after a biblical prophet who saw bones become flesh. THis experiment was to do the impossible.
Create an immortal.
The following sections detail each experiment. One name may suprise you.
Read and know the truth.
***************
EXPERIMENT ALPHA
ExIsi trial 1. Meant tocreate our greatest legacy: an immortal.
Form selected: full grown human. Council of fursons and humans delared it easiest to make.
Procedure: (NOTE: This part I have edited out. But I will relate part. The idea was to form tissues from a single cell of a scientist, namely an egg cell. The compound meant to form the life and make it immortal was top secret, and I will not share it for fear others try and repeat it. The individual was raised in a tube of the material, formed into a male human.)
Result: Failure. Test subject Alpha aged rapidly, bio-signs failed after three weeks. Immortality was not achieved.
Side note: Individual was a vore. This side effect bodes well, if we can perfect it....

EXPERIMENT BETA
ExIsi trial 2. Corrections of original experiment induced. lab tests successful. Experiment should work.
Form: Child. Human Male. FOrm selected based on manipulation of samples in children that are destroyed at puberty.
Procedure: ... (Edited out.)
Result: Failure. Child died after three days from lack of brain function. Data collected, however, was promising. Third attempt will be made.
Side Note: In three days time, child exibited excessive happyness around fursons. seemed eager to be food for them. Side effect from experiment?

EXPERIMENT CHARLIE
ExIsi trial 3. Reattempt of procedure in ExIst Trial 2.
Form: Human child. Male.
Procedure: ... (Mentioned here is that the chief scientist offered a prayer to a higher power that it would work this time.)
Result: UNKNOWN. Child is in perfect health, tends to hang around female furry scientist Ana. Was eaten by her three times. Was not in pain at any time. reformed without need for potions. Child may be immortal, as he has "Died" in several ways.
Side Note: Tensions are growing between the continents...
*****************
(I interrupt here. According to the tome, Charlie journeyed all about. it should have been a happy moment. But it was not. As I have said, the alchemists had become greedy. so they demanded that he be cloned. But all clones died in days. Originally, I thought that, indeed, Little Charlie was a one of a kind. But, as I read on, I saw I was wrong.)
***************
EXPERIMENT DELTA
ExIsi 4. Every action in ExIsi 3 will be copied.
Subject to create: Child. Human Female.
Procedure: See ExIsi 3. (Even the prayer was copied.)
Result: SUCCESS! Individual appears to be just as healthy, happy, and preyish as Charlie. THe two are together often. However, they will NOT be cloned. All our alchemy cannot do it. Let them be.
Side Note: Experiment done WITHOUT council permission.
****************
EXPERIMENT EPSILON
ExIsi 5. Attempt to create a furson.
Subject to create: Male mouse.
Procedure: ... (Edited out.)
Result: Failure. Mouse form did live, but was not immortal. On a positive note, he went happily into the jaws of female aid Ana. Reformation potion proved effective, but individual showed signs of aging. He will live a normal life.
Side Note: Are only humans able to be successful?
*****************
EXPERIMENT FARORE AND GAMMA
ExIsi 6. being rushed due to demand after Charlie and Delta slipped into another dimension. Method is unknown...
Subjects to create: Human children, male and female.
Procedure: ... (Edited out)
Result: Unknown. Children show signs of being immortal, but left dimension before full confirmation.
SIDE NOTE: PROJECT CANCELLED. WAR DECLARED.
****************
Following these projects, the final days of the alchemists were told. But it was grim reading. They used their alchemy for the forming of weapons and mechs. Entire continents sank into the sea during the battles. Millions were killed. I cannot relate much of the war, for I do not wish to. War and death is to close to be as it is.
But I will say the end result. For the sea was not uninhabited. In it lived a race of mermaids, strong and intelligent. TRheir queen, a giant mermaid named Undine (Who I have met, for mermaid lives are eons long) used her power to destroy the weapons. The alchemists saw this and realized how close they came to killing themselves off. They were told by Undine to leave this dimension.
I realized then there was several discrepencies. I had always believed that the alchemists learned about vore after coming to seraphim, that they wanted to abandon their craft and home, and that they caused wars in many dimensions, but not in their own. THis proved that they had also been at war with themselves.
I learned why soon enough. THis was not 400 years ago. This first coming happened 9000 years ago!
But the ending is better. Undine was fair. She stated that, before they left, that the alchemists SHOULD make a city for their eventual return. They did so, using their power to freeze it in time until the day when the desendents of the alchemists returned. But to do so would follow a great cataclysm, so predicted by Undine. Ones who would cause it would be in the second coming.
So it came to pass that most of the alchemists left. Moreover, they chose Seraphim. And now I know why: When they came, it was peaceful, uninhabited, and an ideal place to start over. Not everyone shared this view of peace, however. Some maintained the view of alchemy and stayed behind. For close to 9000 years they continued to war, both on the world of the alchemists, and on many dimensions, until only Fairton remained.
It was then they followdd in the footsteps of their ancestors, and left for Seraphim. THIS was the coming I knew of. But with both comings, I learned the truth: ALL THE INHABITANTS OF SERAPHIM WERE BORN OF ALCHEMISTS.
So, now you know. But there is one final detail. THe four immrtals. It has been thousands of years since their formation, yet they remain young, happy, loving, and eager to feed cute preds.
Only one have I met: Charlie, with his blonde hair and blue eyes.
But the others still roam. Delta, with red hair, freckles, and a sweet smile. Farore, whose long blue hair and green eyes made her like a princess. and Gamma, a dark skinned Charlie, yet kind as could be.
Maybe you have seen them.
Maybe I will someday.
THE END.
