In this image, a merchant stranded at night near the Howling Forest finds himself being picked up by a beautiful, luminous angel named Zelene. Whether his situation has improved from before her arrival is debatable.
-
A wealthy merchant hired an elite mercenary group to take him, along with his special carriage and two servants, from the safety of Negav to the great portal at Ur-Sagol. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. Unbeknownst to the others, the merchant was transporting a highly unstable magical artifact. As they approached the powerful gate, the two magics interacted in spectacular fashion, teleporting the carriage, its contents, and several mercenaries far, far away.
Once they realized what had happened, the mercenaries promptly abandoned their employer, heading out own their own with a warning for him not to follow. The merchant and his servants found themselves at the edge of an ominous looking forest. Deciding to stay with the carriage, they proceeded to make their way down a faint trail that hugged the edge of the woods. All too soon, things took a turn for the worse when something in the forest spooked the horses, sending them into a frenzy. Before he had a chance to flee this terrible sight, however, a giant, winged woman descended from the night sky. The stunned merchant could only watch with awe as she gracefully landed. Her body gave off a strange illumination that lit the trees and grass nearby with ghostly brilliance.
Without saying a word, she calmly reached down to pick him up. Deep within, the merchant felt as if his very soul was being judged...

Would the poor bastard get eaten if he said she was hot?

In her case, that might actually save him. Not all angels are immune to flattery.

Hmmm. Is she a purifier angel? Or just a wandering angel that has acquired a Felaryan appetite? ^_^
