Master Chief vs. Shamus Aran
A Deadliest Warrior Matchup!

Continuing my focus on gaming icons, I am putting Master Chief, hero of Halo, vs. Shamus Aran, Nintendo's Metroid hunter. Who would win? Again, post replies saying who you think would win and why.
 
 
BACKGROUND
 
MASTER CHIEF: A participant in the Spartan program, Master Chief is an expert of weaponry of all forms, Terran and Covenant. Most of his weapons are projectile based and are AOS, acquired on-site. His main weapon is the combat rifle, a standard issue Terran weapon that is highly accurate. He also is bringing the rocket luncher, sticky bomb, plasma pistol, and energy sword to the fight and wears the MAJOLNAIR combat armor.
 
SHAMUS ARAN: A lady killer who is part of the bounty hunter guild, Shamus was raised by an alien race called the Chozo. Her Chozo Varia suit reflects this relationship, the suit upgradeable with many powerful finctions. Her main weapon is the power beam, a laser bolt weapon intergrated into the suit. She also brings the Missles, Morph Ball and Bombs, Grappling Beam, and plasma beam to the fight, and wears the Chozo Varia suit.
 
 
ROUND 1: Battle Armor (Majolnair COmbat Armor vs. Varia)
 
WINNER..... MASTER CHIEF. The Varia may be able to absorb more damage than the Majolnair, but Master Chief's suit has self restoring shields, while the Varia requires the insertion of power packs left by enemies. This means her suit will wear down eventually and leave her open for attack. the fact that EVERYTHING relies on this suit make it a double threat.
 
ROUND 2: Long Range Explosives (Rocket Luncher vs. Missles)
 
WINNER..... SHAMUS ARAN. Almost no contest. MC has two missles, while Shamus can launch up to 255! the explosive power may be less, but the result is much more devastating. Master Chief better hope he gets a lucky shot if it comes down to the missles.
 
ROUND 3: Short Range Explosives (Stiky Bomb vs. Morph Ball and Bombs)
 
WINNER..... SHAMUS ARAN. This was a close call based on effectiveness, but the morph ball provides Shamus one edge: speed and agility. While in morph ball form to launch the bombs, She is much harder to hit. Plus, the Sticky bomb can result in trouble if it sticks to the opponent and she gets too close. Shamus also has a lot more bombs and cannot be damaged by them herself.
 
ROUND 4: Special Weapon 1 (Plasma Pistol vs. Pllasma Beam)
 
WINNER: MASTER CHIEF. Another just barely. While Shamus has the more powerful weapon here, she has to get VERY close to use it. Her Charge Beam may have been the better choice, but even there it is no match for the plasma pistol, which can deal a lot of damage quickly to metallic foes. MC won't even have to worry if it comes down to this weapon.
 
ROUND 5: Special Weapon 2 (Energy Sowrd vs. Grappling Beam)
 
WINNER..... MASTER CHIEF. What else can be said? Shamus has NO close range fighting ability save for the grappling beam, and it cannot damage the opponent. That energy sword will cut her down if MC gets close, since it is so powerful.
 
ROUND 6: Main Weapons (Assult Rifle vs. Power Beam)
 
WINNER..... SHAMUS ARAN. Effectiveness is oddly about the same, despite the flashiness of the power beam, but one factor edges out the asult rifle: ammo. Shamus has an endless supply of shots, making MC have to resort to other weapons. In fact, almost all of his weapons suffer from this.
 
 
FINAL RESULT
 
WINNER>......... SHAMUS ARAN!
 
 
Tis is a hard fight to call, but it all comes down to ammo. MC may be able to last longer based on his armor, but that ammo of his will run out eventually, while the only thing Shamus will run out of is missles. Moreover, if she is able to keep her distance (Which she easily can do with the morph ball), she won't have to worry about the energy sword.
 
In the battle, the likely result will be a long, hard fought battle, with Shamus nealy getting taken down after MC's assult. But when MC runs out of firepower, then the tide turns, and a few blasts from the missles, followed up by the power beam, make quick work of MC before his suit can recharge. SHams may have to recharge her suit, but she will live, and will have one heck of a reward from the Covenant.
