The morning sun began to rise over the forest. Its rays glistened as it passed through the dew on the plants, slowly heating the earth by its gentle warmth. Deep in the forest, the light slowly creped in the peaceful domain of a dragon by the name of Vendora. Her tannish-brown scales shone in the darkness of the cave as it lit up more and more. She squinted her eyes before opening them.

After she blinked several times, she stretched herself out. As her back rised ,her large tan belly sagged to the ground. Once she finished stretching she rested her body back on the ground. Her belly moved outward as it was pressed against the floor. Though the large mass on her may seem unappealing to some, to her it was something she was proud of for what it contained inside that she ingest each and every day.

Birds chirped and animals began to come out in to the morning sun. Vendora inhaled the air and let out a sigh of relief as she listened to the piece that would not last. Every day, dozens of humans and other beings come to her. The reason being is to be her master, for this dragon is believed to be the most powerful dragon ever. Vendora was not sure about this rumor since without a master, she would never experience these awesome powers within her. However, this does not stop her from doing a good deed in a certian way.

Day in and day out people come in wanting to use her powers for their own personal ways. But once in a while, there is one in the bunch that is truly rotten to the core. One who wishes to use her powers to destroy others lives. She gives them a simple chance to redeem themselves by accepting a challenge. If they pass, she would be there master, but if they fail, they die. The challenge is a trick though for the only way for one to win with their life is to decline it. If one accepts the great dragoness challenge, then Vendora see that they are too greedy for their own good and devours them on the spot.

Vendora opens her mouth to give a great yawn revealing her rows of jagged teeth and a large fork tongue. She then moved her long neck around to look at a tally she had on a stone wall. There were 27 tallies on the wall with two of them freshly scratched in. Each mark represented one human that meet there doom in the dragons belly. Before she may have had maybe one or two humans a day visit her and try their chances. An evil tyrant though had taken great interest in her. So he sends at least one hundred solders to her front door every day. Even though it was a bit of annoyance to the fat reptile, she loved the fact that once in a while she conquers the sin of greed with her sin of gluttony. One day she hopes the tyrant would appear in front of her. Without a challenge or even hesitation, she would gobble him up without second thought.

Vendora looked outside the cave and smiled. Though eating power hungry knights and mass murders was fun, she wishes that one day she would meet her master. The dragoness knew her master would not wish to use her for her powers, but rather lay back and enjoy life. He would think of her as a friend rather than a tool. “I hope to see you soon master. I shall be waiting…” The dragon spoke in a soft calm voice.

Her eyes narrowed as she saw a humanoid object walk toward her cave. Finding a real master was going to have to wait. Her belly grumbled loudly and she ran her fork tongue over her lips. It was time to see whether this man was going to be free to leave, or to be breakfast.

Introducing Vendora, the dragon whose brain is as great as her brawn. Dragons in Laven are granted amazing powers if they are able to find a master. The master could be a complete opposite of the dragon, or exactly the same. This special bond formed between the two unlocks amazing abilities.
