Or does red just get all protein and norishment?

Well I would say Kid that Wolfette does not starve and Red doesn’t get digested because it’s not in the best interest of the storyline. Node has established that it doesn’t happen and knowing why or why not does not advance the story any faster or retard its growth. It’s just a story element that is left unanswered or open to various interpretations.

How does that sound?

You know what would be cool? If Hippie Pig here survives; red and wolfette could let her out and eat her over and over again. She is way too good of prey to be killed off that quick. Just my opinion though.
