Now, before anyone says anything, this is NOT my work. Thanks to the talent of ArmourVorer and Gia, they created this commission I asked of them. Now, as you are aware of, I write chapter-like stories, usually revolving around a theme or idea (usually random). Some manage to evolve into a full-fledged series, others die after two chapters. This is from a more recent idea that's still kicking. It involves the reluctant protagonist named Kevin from Earth. He is a super genius and technological master, having created half the things the more futuristic Earth uses (hover cars, nanotech, fully-functional mechanical prosthetics w/ faux flesh exterior, etc...). He, himself, is a cyborg, having had to (literally) rebuild nearly half his body. He is dragged into another planet's war, as the enemy are demons who use technology, and the world at war forgot about technology, relying more on magic.

Anyway, this is Tethys. Tethys is a powerful archangel who served in the previous war. However, after the demons were defeated and technology forgotten, she met with an unfortunate outcome. While searching for any stray demons, one took a cheap shot at her with a modified weapon, causing her tremendous damage. However, the damage was to her soul, not her body. She lost more than half her powers and her immortality was destroyed, rendering her mortal, loosing her halo in the process. Before the demon could finish her, her fellow angels saved her, but the damage was done. Since she was unable to return to the heavens without her immortality, they decided to seal her in a magical crystal, in hopes that it would preserve her and restore her powers. However, due to the demons breaking free, and thanks to the demonic veil around the planet, she is the only angel available to fight, so she was released early. Her magic was restored, but her immortality was not, having suffered permanent damage. So she is susceptible to life-threatening attacks, but she's still powerful enough to be a massive threat.

In any case, after being reawakened by one of the Four Guardians, and in the presence of two of the Chosen Heroes (one being Kevin), she instantly fell in love with the reluctant protagonist. She spends most of her leisure time courting him, although fairly bluntly, as she is not familiar with mortal courtship customs (and Kevin is not-so-easily wooed, thanks to past burnings). Her overall personality is coy and caring, but she shows a very strong side in battle (due to her still being considered an archangel), and has a deep loathing for demons. She also is very playful and affectionate, and will often nuzzle with Kevin (even though, at first, he doesn't like it, he allows it, as it makes her happy). She is the magic user of the group, but also retains some knowledge of technology, allowing to at least understand Kevin's techno-talk (she unknowingly uses this trait to bond with him). Eventually, he allows her into his heart, much to her joy.

Anyway, just to set a few things straight, she is NOT related to the Greek Goddess of the same name (though she does bear some similarities, such as the wings on her temples). I liked the name and it seemed to suit her, but I did take some traits from the goddess of the same name. Also, it's a bit hard to tell, but she has a silver strip on each wing near the top, and a set of wings on her ankles (they can be seen through the crystal). I can't thanks ArmourVorer and Gia enough, they did an outstanding job (better then I could ever do...). Enjoy!
