One Tag Per Line!

Second round for  magetorment’s VOCT3. My opponent is Wewo, and Wolfen, Wewo, Wolfgang, and Roger are his characters. The Lionspaws belong to  arcanescholar.

A few notes:
The first is that I didn’t forget about Aria’s little mission outside of the ship carrying the Lionspaws. I’m just going to give it focus in the next round, and wanted to devote more attention to the Benefactor (now revealed to be male, if it matters) and Gwen and Gertrude, as I didn’t really give these characters enough spotlight in the last round.
Next, I know I said that battles are, by necessity, short and brutal. Well, this one is brutal, but very clearly not short. I have a couple reasons for this. The first is that a giant opponent is tricky to deal with, so blows aren’t going to be exchanged as frequently or effectively. The second is that my opponent’s preferences require no blood or gore, so I had to get rid of Gertrude’s scythe, and fistfights last a hell of a lot longer than weapon fights, especially when the person with the fists has to be careful of the people with weapons. The third reason is because I basically had to have Gertrude face a team of three powerful people (with Gwen sorta doing stuff on the side), and if I were to do them any justice, I couldn’t dispatch them instantly. So there’s my excuse for the longer battle despite my statement about shorter ones in the previous round.

I hope I left my opponent a decent enough motivation to continue in case I win. I know that if I get knocked into the loser’s bracket, the motivation will be high to just quit, but I think that with enough care, the winning entrant should be able to give the losing entrant something good to work with, and possibly a whole new motivation to use he hadn’t thought of before. If I wind up losing, I hope I get the same sort of opportunity.
