I guess I saw one Spiderbone pick of aphid girls getting eaten too many, because I felt this strandgle complusion to draw a Ladybird guy eating aphid girls.

For those that don't know, 'Ladybird' is the British English name for what are called 'Ladybugs' in the US.

I just love the accesories. The cane and the boots are quite nice.

Thanks. Other than being obviously inspired by Spiderbone for this pic, I think I also took some level of inspiration from the children's book "The Butterfly Ball" which had characters a bit like this one inside.

Hee, this is neat. I like the twisted storybook-ish feel. x3

Yeah, I guess that is what I was going for. Its a bit of a rough concept sketch at this stage, but sometimes I don't progress my pics further than that.

But now that you mention it, I can imagine a story book about the three little aphids that hear about a creepy house where 'Old Man Ladybird' is rumoured to live, but being young they think its just a ghost story the old aphids talk about so visit it for a dare or something. Or maybe its just 'three little pigs' retold with Old Man Ladybird as the big bad wolf, and none of the houses strong enough to defend against him...
