i saw it in cooking class because it was totally relevant but we nev saw the end so i watched the end on a shitty youtube clip.. but i totally missed the but where he loses his leg! does it get ett off?

Hahaha, totally relevant!

There's no actual scene where he loses his leg- Stoick finds him alive on the Red Death's island, Gobber makes a statement about "LOL TOOTHLESS, YOU ONLY BROUGHT BACK MOST OF HICCUP LOL", and then it cuts to Hiccup waking up and finding out that there's distinctively less of him. It's just sort of implied that he lost it during the fall after the Red Death exploded, either from being thrown from the saddle, the impact of the tail, Toothless chomping him to rescue him, something.
