Now I'm wondering if I should try a predator/prey reversal... it adds a wonderful twist to the concept. +Faved.

It's dumb, but it's so fun. I used to OC it a lot with friends. It's so funny with Hiccup, since he's the polar opposite of anything predatory ever. XD

Hiccup reluctantly eating mini-Toothless is one of my secret, guilty pleasures. XD
:) Kind of fun to make a little AU with it. Having Stoick make him eat 'em like vegetables or something. XD
I imagine it would be highly uncomfortable to let the dragon out (not that... it wouldn't be on the way in, either). That being said, seems like Hiccup wouldn't be able to stomach a dragon very long, especially since they're hardy and not easy to digest. XD
if he wants it to stop moving, otherwise, he either has to crush it as Astrid suggests, or let it succumb to suffocation/digestion (arguably an even less humane death). Don't know if Hiccup has the heart for either.
So it's fairly safe to bet that Toothless might survive. Either that, or Hiccup is about to have some major digestive upset. XDXDXD Dato used to joke about him losing his colon from this kind of thing XD

Which part do you enjoy most? Hiccup's reluctance or Toothless' incredulous terror?

Oh yeah, I'm under no illusions that Hiccup will be miserable no matter what he does here. But it would be so cute to have him secretly, guiltily take care of his former food.

Reluctance! It's so fun because to me he's almost as anti-pred as you can get. XD I guess I like it for the same reasons I like the fish-eating scene... XD
It might be easier to manage a dragon after he's been in your belly, I guess. Make him a bit more docile, at least until he learns you're a huge pushover.
