... So... I like Avatar.
This was inspired by a rather specific premise that was, in turn, inspired by a rather specific episode of A:TLA ("Zuko Alone"). I've come to the understanding that I have a... thing... for 'pitiable' villains, and Zuko's situation at the beginning of the aforementioned episode was about as pitiable as you can get... what with him being starving and penniless. Not that I don't find him pitiable normally, mind you. I really just wanna give the poor bastard a hug.
My depraved mind, however, apparently had to go and consider what would happen if things continued heading downhill for him while he was out on his own... and it boiled down to the decision of 'eat or die'. Considering that he's a proud and honorable sort of person, I believe that Zuko would feel a great deal of conflict and remorse if he were forced into the sort of situation I've put him in here. Having caught a miniscule little street-girl (hey, I can toss a few micros into the Avatar universe if I want), he hesitates to do away with her, not wanting to end the life of a helpless, innocent being who has done him no wrong-- but at the same time, he's in pain from days of hunger and knows that his body won't be able to hold out much longer without anything to fuel it.
Whether or not he'll actually follow through with it is still up for debate... but I don't think I would have drawn this if I didn't want him to. >>;
As a random side-note, this is my first decent attempt at cartoon-style shading. Probably not something I'll do a lot of, but I do rather like the look of it.

Hmmmmmm... I think you certainly captured the expression you were aiming for here. He's like: "Uuuuuhhh, no... I shouldn't be eatin dat!"
Aaaah, but I am fairly certain where this particular scene leads... hehehehe... down the ol' hatch of course~ (it's a vore forum after all :p)
Oh, the colors, they are nice too.

I'm always pleased to hear when I manage to express the proper emotions in a picture. They're more or less the most important aspect for me; without them, scenes such as this one just don't have the same meaning behind them. So thank you. <3
And yes, that conclusion was... certainly my intent. >//>;

He'd probably cook her first.
My apologies if that ruins the mental image. =P

It does not, actually. :>

I knew it was Zuko before I read your description. Well done, capturing his likeness. The cell-shading looks as it should.
The conflict is clear across his face... there's no doubt about that. I, too, love Avatar. Zuko has an amazing character arch.

Oh man, I'm entirely with you on that one @@ His characterization as a whole is just really compelling to me, and I love the way he changes and develops over the course of the story... at least from my perspective, it makes it extremely hard not to grow fond of him. Or stupidly fangirl over him, for that matter. >__>

I really like the picture, and it does capture Zuko's personality quite well. Would he do it... I think a combination of his honor, and the fact that he is a surprisingly(even then) sympathetic character... I can't see him doing it, but this is a vore website...

I honestly debate whether or not he would do it myself. While I'd like him to, his character would certainly be opposed to such a thing... and I don't like twisting characterizations to meet my own ends. I personally think that it would depend on how desperate his situation was and if his life hinged on the act... but even then it's difficult to say. So I think I'll leave it up to the viewer to decide what they believe would (or should) happen. :>

Thank you very much <3

Y'know, this looks like an honest to goodness screen capture from a torrent or something. It likes stunningly professional.

*Looks, dammit.

For real? @@; That's a serious compliment... I tried to mimic the style of the actual show as far as shading is concerned, and while I do feel like I was fairly successful in that regard, it's still wonderful to hear that you think it looks good enough to be a screencap of all things. Thank you!~

Dear jebus ceru, it looks a lot like the style from the actual show, I applaud this and approve, the facial expression is perfect~ though, I can only imagine her facial expression, could be over-excessive fangirlism or OH GOD GIANT.

As far as the story behind the picture is concerned, her expression is most likely one of anxiety and fear. Though it would be pretty hilarious if she was a member of the endless hordes of Zuko fangirls and -that's- why he has that disturbed look on his face... pfff.
Thank you so much though, for me to know that I got the characters and the overall image that "right" in anyone's opinion makes me feel really accomplished. <3

Who's he about to eat?

It's just some random girl. I normally like using my own characters as prey trash, but... back when I drew this I felt more self-conscious about doing it constantly, and I didn't have any friends with characters that would want to fill the role. So I just drew some nobody. ;v;

Why the hell is there not more of him? Awesome work, I would love to see this in written form man. I know this is old, but just wanted to say you did a great job with the expression and everything.
