My half of an Art-Trade with Svartvinge! :D This mini-comic's based on one of his older sketches I quite liked, so I decided to mess around a bit with the idea X3
Left chained to a small island in a reserve for tourists, it's clear their captors have been skipping on their feeding time once too often, and one of the twin mermaids just couldn't stand the hunger anymore =ω=
In a surprise turn of events, she's then vored by one of my purple worm critters ^o^ Could that be what happened to the guy who was supposed to feed them before~?
Admittedly I liked how the colors came out in this one, together with the rugged feel of pencil, but I wish I planned the panels better xP The first and second panel shouldn't have been left to splice into each other like that, but I guess it works well enough. The shape of the bulge the two mermaids leave in the worm could have also been done better, but I'm continuing to practice the dynamics of form-fitting vacuum-packed tummies, so maybe next time I'll nail it better :)
Thanks again for your awesome half of the trade, Svart! Claire pretty much got what was coming to her, and that's the way she likes it, ahuh ahuh ;D

You should really draw more mermaids and nagas, they look so nice in your style of drawing that i think i'm in love. x_X :D

The second panel actually took me a second to register. Not sure why, but I thought a clam was gulping down on the surviving mermaid's tail. Now that I know better, I too really like the second panel.
