Things were... not exactly going according to plan, Sariia mused. Sure the first part had gone alright, wining and dining her favorite Space Goat into complacency and then ushering her off to a nice private room for a bit of loving, followed by a bit of... curvaceous blue dessert. But then things had... kind of hit a snag when the Draenei had broken out the manacles and, well...

Well, finally another commission gets out the door. Another piece for Svartinge of his characters Arylirien (the Draenei) and Sariia (the Blood Elf). It's got a few anatomical oddities but is otherwise looking decent. Much of the time spent on this was a result of me being way too anal about the lineart

Indeed it is. The angle predictably gave me quite a bit of trouble (and, unsurprisingly is the source of the anatomy oddities); initially I'd intended for this picture to be... well, sort of like you could see through the bottom of the bed or something like that. But that kind of left Aryliriens face obscured and it looked weird when I tried putting in profile. So Sariia is instead arching her back kinda floating over the bed.
It looks a little weird still. Ah well. Thanks for the compliment on the colors, I'm still working on my technique.

Absolutely gorgeous perspective in this one. Honestly if someone had asked me to manage this as a commission, I wouldnt even know where to start on pose referencing. Cheers to you for pulling it off so well-- that and the color~ just absolutely love the light and shadow play.
one bit of of a naggle that keeps bugging me though-- the prey's breasts, they seem a little gravity defying in this- I would have imagined the sway to be more down and away at this angled shot. the dranei looks do be below where the girl is being chained. Am I perhaps wrong though? I dunno, I'm not exactly classically trained and anatomy slips it grip on me sometimes o-o trying to learn all I can still.

Yeah, there are definitely a few quirks and oddities with this piece. The problem with the preys breasts is actually a direct result of something I mentioned earlier ina reply to Bright; namely, she was initially face down, and we were to be looking up through something else at her, an idea I discarded because it obscured the preds face. Guess I kinda forgot to adjust the boobs until it was too late.

well its all good, I think the color and detail well more than make up for that little oversight. I am curious as to how you were able to do the wrinkles in the fabric so well-- its something I've always had a lot of trouble with

It gave me trouble too, until I considering how a bed deforms underneath a body; from that I drew out a series of radiating lines from I determined Ary to be "pressing" on the bed, cancelling them out between each other under the assumption that the stretching between those point would limit the amount of folding between them.
After than I basically used a blending brush tool to fill in the gaps.
