I didn't realize until the second to last panel, with the tail, that the pred here isn't a turtle. He looks really turtley and the way the tail is in panel 4 makes it easy to mistake for a shell.

Awesome comic. Love how he's not entirely sure which way his guest is going to come out in the morning, and neither seems to mind. ^.^
