Cougar's Blog - Rant, Announcement (IMPORTANT) Posted 10 years ago

Since Monday, my father's been in the hospital. Not only is my ability to help or even just to be there significantly limited by my disease, if the hospital stay becomes too costly, I would probably not be able to get the surgery I need to function for the next 15 or so years, which means I'd be well and truly fucked.

It's no one's fault that I got sick or that my dad got sick; but if the treatment is available yet denied because we don't have the right number in a ledger somewhere, then it's the rules we choose to live by which are at fault.

Due to my disease kicking my butt and my father being in the hospital, my presence here will be (even more) sporadic.
