Myths and Fables usually have a story, a tale that warns the listener, to teach them and impart wisdom in some way.

Though many just call the myths false and useless, there is some inkling of truth in them. One in particular was Dia and her Company. Her commanding officer ordered them to march into the mountains without scouting ahead. Instead of protesting and pointing out how foolish this venture would be, she obeyed unquestioningly.

The snowy underpass was becoming too strong for them to travel, but they came upon a cave to take shelter in. As they did though, they found out that its occupant was a rather large woman, whos fur matched the snow. She claimed to be a half bread of a ogre demon, but her rather warm reception to her sudden guests and willingness to give them her food made them drop their guard. The food however, was strong with a powerful herb that induced drowsiness.

Only when Dia woke up in a small cage did she learn the truth. The half-ogre that took them in was in reality a aspect of Night, the Goddess who brought forth creation and is trying to devour it all. She found her armor and clothing has been stripped off, along with the rest of her group.

She watched in horror, as in the other cage, her company was plucked out of a more constraining cage, eaten one by one as the demons belly grew in size, the bulges of her comrades forming in the cheeks the neck, and their futile struggles inside, calling out to the divines who created the Amazons.

She watched her fat commander, who found that being a born noble does not stop the goddess of deaths jaws from clamping around her. Dia admited, it was a joy to see the intolerable commander meet her end, even though it made the inner confines of her allies even tighter.

Once the cage was empty, she was left. But the demoness just smiled and said "Ill save you for later. I have a pie I could cook you in." She soon plopped down onto her large pile of hay bed and went to sleep, her belly still moving about.

Dia continued though, trying her best to escape her prison. She took long enough to see that the bulges had stopped moving, and that the demonesses belly returned to a spherelike shape, shrinking slowly as it digested the massive burdon.

She managed to escape. She did not want to risk taking a chance trying to slay the Aspect, as it was likely all it would do was wake her. She grabbed some furs that the ogre woman had made and covered herself in them, heading back out and onwards to the nearest town.

Dia survived where the others didn't and never returned to the military. She had long sense retired to the Soul Jars of her family, but her story to this day is a warning. To be open to a plan that is foolish to approach half halfheartedly, and to never drop your guard to a kind face in a isolated land.

----------------------------------

Wanted to do something like this all day, but didn't get the chance. Sorry if the story isn't that good. I sorta thought of it on the spot and tiredness is setting in.

And the moral of the story is... don't trust ogres; they want to eat you.
