Twilight’s heart pounded in her chest, like a war drummer going to town on her aortic ventricles, each one pounding like a jackhammer, slamming one hearty bout of shock, before slamming down one bountiful package of hopeful anticipation, one after the other, almost driving her crazy with the mix of emotions, almost driven sick by the unease it caused in her stomach, and by how easily it had almost flipped completely upside down.

Twilight was panting heavily as she lay there, utterly defeated and sapped of strength.  She couldn't bring herself to fly or run anymore...not that it mattered.  She couldn't possibly outrun Rainbowdash.  The alicorn lay her head down on the wooden floor and waited for the inevitable.
 
It was only a few moments later when the giant form of the fast pegasus's head peered up over the edge of the cliff and loomed over the collapsed Twilight.  The giant had a grin on her face as she dran

"No, I don't think I will," said Twilight in a low voice "It's too fun to watch you squirm." Twilight giggled as she lazily spun the pegasus around in her telekinetic grip. The pegasus flailed her limbs about, trying to grab onto anything she could. Her wings flapped wildly in the air, but were unable to catch any wind in the force field that surrounded her.

Twilight panted hard as she ran through the endless stretch of forest. The other pony was right on her heels. The darkness swallowed up the path, but Twilight kept her pace. The sound of the other?s hoofsteps was tireless, inching forward with each passing second. If there was sweat on Twilight's neck, she wouldn't be able to feel it as her excitement kept her hooves pounding the ground. Her teeth were clenched. Her hooves ached. Her eyes wearily scanned the space in front of her.

Pinkie dragged her tongue across the fluffy frosting of the magnificent cake, taking in its sweet flavor and moaning at the sensation.  She drew  her tongue into her mouth, pulling a piece of the frosting in with it.  Immediately, her tongue began to swirl around in the small cavern, trying to taste as much of the substance as she could.  Soon, the sugar had all but melted away, leaving the pink baker hungry for more.  She craved the sensation of fullness and satisfaction.  She craved the

Derpy Hooves strolled through her home town with a tune on her lips and a skip in her hocks. For the ponies of town, it was business as usual, but for Derpy, it was a nice break from her day job (which in this headcannon is accounting).

Derpy opened her wings and jumped off the cloud. The wind brushed against her face as her glide took her to the next cloud. She landed on it, unfazed by the unsatisfyingly soft collision with the material she was so used to. She took a moment to reorient herself to the cloud.
 
She re-adjusted her courier's cap, then quaintly trotted towards the postbox on the edge of the cloud. She swiftly plucked a couple of letters from one of her side bags, and slid them into the box's slit opening.
