Break the fourth wall > Eat Portly > Fly above and out of sight. > Stop above the sail. > Have a crewman hang down and cut the sail.

Aw, but Portly never did anything to you. Other than be fat.

Small/cutesy characters who give tutorials/instructions are best dealt with early: Don't want to end up with an "Ahoy! Listen!" every few strips.

Sail high, get your back to the sun, dive down and land on their sails. From there repel down and ambush the helm. Fancy hats like the helm.

Still not sure how to get near with that scent your ship exudes, but I suppose flying upwind would be a good first step.

It might be a good idea when you're putting up a new update to include in the description which option we went for last time

I will do that from now on, thanks.

Aprotch from on high. keep them in a crossfire, fire at downward angle into sails.
by comming at them opposite their current advesary, it should catch them unaware. by positioning ourselves higher then them, it will make it difficult for them to return fire, and increase our own range.

All in favor of eating Portly?

Okay, that's two. How many votes do we need?

Stank

Posted by Stank 11 years ago Report

Well this is just when you suggest options. On Thursday I'll post a journal with the most popular ones, along with some of my own choosing, and you guys can vote there.

increase height to attack from above, fire a volley into the crew on deck, then rappel down near the admiral to engage in close quarters combat.

with the negotiator focused on the ship underneath they probably wont react quick enough to take cover from an attack from up high, so some shots aimed between the officers and their grunts would give the perfect chance to grab some "bargaining chips".

We're sailing on a cloud sea. Not EXACTLY sure what our ship can do, but I think it's safe to say we can dip below the surface.

Way I'd approach this:

-Double check that Bridge has got a bead on the negotiator, or that he can at least remember well where it is.
-Drop beneath cloud level. Even if they smell us, they won't be able to see us.
-Come up right beneath the negotiator, and then either
-A. Surreptitiously breach the bottom using our incredible pirate savvy and proceed to kidnap the commanders or
-B. Blow their hull so full of holes from the bottom that the enchantment breaks, using our superior mobility to stay beneath the negotiator (and out of its cannon's rotational range) at all times.

Either that, or come up with a clever ruse to board the ship without conflict. Either way, any solution that doesn't throw us into a fight in which we're outgunned by a ratio of 38:1 (if only a quarter of the cannons are shooting at us at once) appeals to me.

Let Bridge locate the captain then
Stretch out Bridge (the rubber chicken) and fire him towards the frigate like a slingshot towards the captain.

Also use the sun to hide your approach to the bigger ship.

im thinking you gotta do something with the quartermaster, that the guy who controlled the firing canon? if he's gone then the ship will be inaccurate at firing

Go underneath, destroy the rubber, then keep firing until you make a hole in the hull.
