I swear...that cat is a regular eating machine once she gets a few beers in her. Although it might be more than a few. I think that accumulated pool in her stomach is more booze than acid so far...
Commission for mimzyevo. The brown mouse, Terith, is his. The other two are mine.

I'm not used to seeing Gertrude so jolly!
It must be all the mouse fat.

Gwen is a bit plump, yes. She also tends to make people around her happy. Especially when they eat her.

I'm not happy when I eat Gwen. Because then I have to listen to her for the next few days.

You must have a very life-sustaining stomach. :O

Give them each a consumable respawning crystal. I'm sure there's a few around.

*Purrrrrrrrrrr!* I so agree! I really ought to invite Gertrude to join me on a hunt some day.

Get a few beers in her, and I'm sure she'd be happy to go. :)

The only difference between her and me, is that I don't need to drink any beers before I start hunting mice. . .
(By the way, Gwen is such a delightful nerd in this drawing. I love the way she's smiling, obliviously happy to have an opportunity to answer a technical question, for the moment completely distracted from their plight)

She is Gwen, after all. *Nods.*

*sigh* I'd love to have Gwen over for dinner some day. . . "Hello, Gwen! Care to go out? We could attend a cheese tasting, visit the library together, and spend a lovely evening out in the woods, where I understand there's scheduled to be an in depth scientific exploration of the hunting and feeding habits of felis catus."

She'd be delighted!

*rrriiiiiiiiiiippp!!!*
Felis catus is unable to digest cotton or polyester, and so typically strips her prey, as soon as she's sure they're properly pinned. Note how her sharp claws are perfectly evolved for this task, quickly completely disrobing the prey while keeping the delectable flesh intact.
*llliiiiiiiiick!!!*
Now the feline will typically take time to lick, tease, and even wrestle with her prey. Uneducated folk mistake this for cruelty, needlessly drawing out the prey's suffering. But her deep instinct to play serves a valuable purpose! It ensures the exhausted prey won't put up too much of a struggle and potentially injure both parties when the time comes to feed.
*tussle!* *lick!* *tussle!* *tussle!* *lick!* *tussle!* *lick!
*snatch!* *nab!* *Pin!*
Felis catus instinctively recognizes her prey is ready when they are too tired to struggle. Play no longer fun, the feline grips and pins her meal, placing them just below her maw in feeding position. Note how instinctively felis catus knows just how to hold her prey! Even if they were fresh, it would be difficult to break free; after play, it is impossible!
*gurgle!*
Did you hear that? With all the licking and tasting, signals have been sent from the taste-buds to the brain, and from the brain to the stomach, which by now is flooding with acids in anticipation of fresh meat! By the time the prey arrives, too exhausted to put up a fight, they will be quickly and efficiently processed into nutrients. The process is quite humane! A few kicks, a twitch, and it will all be over!
*Gulp!* *Gulp!* *Gulp!* *Meow!*
The stomach of felis catus is tremendously efficient, quickly breaking down every useable part of the prey's body for nutrients. Only a bit of fur and bone will typically remain, sometimes later coughed up as a hairball, annoying for felis catus, but a small price to pay for a good meal!
*Purrrrr!* I do hope you enjoyed our night out as much as I did, Gwen!

Yeah, but what book did you get that from?

Haha, I love Gwen in this.

She's fearless!
...Because she doesn't really know any better!

"Alive Gwen!!" lmao

Oh yeah that's right paladins are immune to fear.
