"Power Seal!" Shouted Sheena as she thrust her magical card at the incoming desians.
"Double Demon Fang!" "Sonic Thrust!" Kratos and Lloyd shouted as they double teamed the desian commander with their blade attacks.
"Burn to ashes! Inferno!" Cried out Genis, summoning a blast of fiery power from the ground below the desians.
"I can't believe we lost to *cough* a bunch of kids!" Cried the desian commander as he and his commrades fall to the ground in defeated.
"And don't come back!" Cheered Sheena as the last of the desians were felled.

We find our heroes sneaking their way into the base of one of the Desian Five Grand Cardinals, Lord Kavar. After the destruction of Luin, they couldn't just sit back and let the desians continue to terrorize innocent people, so they decided to put an end to the Northern Human Ranch. Suddenly, an alarm echoes throughout the base, sirens wailing, as a robotic voice speaks through the intercom. "Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Unauthorized access in Exsphere storage area"

"Exsphere storage area? But we're in the control room!" Cries Genis at the unexpect announcement over the intercom.
"We may not be the only one's infiltraiting the ranch." Raine comments casually as she accesses the command console.
"Apparantly. We should keep on guard, the desian's won't disguish us from the other intruders, and we don't know if they are on our side." Kratos tells the group.
"But if they are enemies of the desians, then maybe they are our allies." Remarks Lloyd.
"Shhhh. I hear voices coming from the other room." Colette whispers just moments before the mechanical door opens.
"Well, if it isn't the Chosen's group. I never expected to find you here. I see Kratos is still with you." Remarks Botta as he emerges from the other room along with to desian/renegade guards with him.
"You're the deians who tried to kill Colette back at Isaelia!" Shouts Lloyd as he steps forward, drawing his swords.
Looking to Kratos, Botta comments, "I think it is in both are interests if we don't fight here."
"Do as you will." Kratos replies gruffly.
"Do you two know each other?" Lloyd asks, looking between the two of them.
"Only if you include the times at Martel Temple and the Desert base." Kratos huffs as he moves aside to let them pass.
"Still keeping the truth from the boy, eh?" Botta chuckles as he and his commrades take leave.

As the Renegades leave the base, Raine continues her typing on the terminal to access more data, but doesn't get very far before the other door opens to reveal several desians and a mysteriously dressed man.

"Well, when I heard we had rats, I expected to find Botta and his band of Renegade scum. Instead, I find the wanted inferior beings."
"Who the hell are you."Lloyd
"You barge into my ranch and demand to know my name?"
"That's Kavar, one of the Five Desian Grand Cardinals."
"Ahh, I see some of you have heard of me. I'm flattered."
