A mouse who's part of a food service for predators ends up on the wrong end of the production chain.
Vore's right at the bottom if you don't care about reading the story.
Glad to be writing again, and this will be the beginning of a counterpart, not so much a spinoff, to The Wilds world I've written into up to this point.

Good story. I like the idea of a suction tube that pours out tiny prey. :) I wonder how the business end works. Do predators put their mouth up to it, or hold up a cup etc?

Heh, not a bad idea, like a mouse slurpee machine (starts brainstorming for the next installment). However in this case, they just being funneled into the plant.

This story was a lot more action oriented than I was expecting, and yeah, the prey got real close to escaping. Very interesting to see your take on a modernize version of your world. I'm curious where the Product comes from now; are they from a farm or simply rounded up?

Already have another story in mind, it'll go into further detail on that. I didn't plan for that much action, admittedly, but I felt that I had to include all that explain how I got the ending that I did.

You know, it's funny, after all this time, think this is the first time I read this one, must have overlooked it. Admittedly, given the content of some of your later stories, I worry for Elise

She gets a half-cameo at the start of These Messages. And you were right to worry for her :)

Is it wrong I feel worse for the innocent predators who end up punished for something done unknowing, than most of the squeakers they devour...

Nah. I sort of was trying for that in this verse.
