I noticed this too. I went through and trained with every character on all their specials before I went into the game proper to re-acquainted with all the characters combos. I also practiced their Astral Finishes, even the ones I already kenw, as I had heard that they re-made all the sprites in this game so they were more high def.

So when I saw Carl Clovers Astral Finish at first I thought to my self, "WHAT IS THIS ABOMINATION OF A COMBO THEY WANT ME TO DO TO USE THIS! THIS IS SO BAD I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO USE IN THE ARCADE LETALONE AGAINST OTHER PLAYERS! I'ts not like Carl wasn't weak enough, you had to make his moves hard to use too."

But after I saw it in practice, I thought "Well this is interesting... In my pants."

I actually did manage to get this off in Arcade once. Can't remember against who.
