I grasped for air, trying desperately to hold on to the walls. The saliva made it hard and I ended up falling down even faster and faster with each gulp of water he took. Damn that man, he really wanted me to die inside of him!
The water spilled all over me, like sudden hail, and as fast as it had come it was gone. But every time it came I was drawn deeper down his throat. Or was I still in his throat? The only thing I knew was that I needed air desperately and that the water was pushing me further and further down a tight tunnel of darkness. I'm usually not afraid of the dark, but I don't favor the combination of dark and tight places much.
It felt like my body was being dragged down by some unseen force, like something, or someone, was grabbing my legs. The force became stronger every time Sadon drank water. And where the hell did he get all that water from anyway? Did he fall down the cliff and drown in the river?
And just as my claustrophobia was getting really bad because of oxygen deficiency, the dark tunnel opened and I was thrown in some kind of fluid. In utter shock I just lied there for a while. Trying not to think of what I was lying in. The fluid was neon blue, lighting up the whole place. The walls were a pinkish red, making the whole atmosphere a little... romantic? I have to admit, it was a beautiful sight. And the water was comfortably warm.
I held my breath for a while, absorbing the sight and experience. It was like magic... maybe it was magic? Had he made this place for me with magic? Or was this the way the stomach really looked like? And why wasn't it smelling weird or something? The questions flew thought my mind.
"I have to tell Imber about this! She'll be so jealous!" I took a deep breath and ducked my head in the clear blue water. It was unexpectedly refreshing after so much struggling. My smile faded as I remembered something... I would never be able to tell Imber about the place if I never got out of here.
My head was suddenly pushed under the water as water came thought the same hole I just came from. Luckily I'm a great swimmer so I managed to get out of the way as another gust of water came down. I noticed that the water was rising every time it came through the hole. Like the stomach was a glass and water was being poured into it. It had a limit, and I was slowly getting to it.
"Get me out of here! Hey!?" I grabbed the side of the stomach, desperately trying to get out. I was going to drown in the water he was drinking!
"I hope you get a stomachache from this!" I punched the side multiple times, in fact so many times that my hands began to hurt and the water had steadily risen while I was at it. The paradise was a death trip.
I swam to the center, trying to get into the same hole I came from, but it was nearly impossible. Luck was on my side though, because as the water rose even more I came even closer to th exit and it made it easier to grasp hold of it. The only problem was that every time water came through I was either pushed under water or got my mouth full of the stuff. It tasted kind of weird. Not necessarily bad, but weird.
It's hard to get out of a tight place but it's even harder getting into one. Especially one from my position. Water isn't quite as stable as I wish it was. My hands managed to grasp hold of some uneven pattern in the hole and my arms, already tired from swimming and punching, somehow managed to drag me up and into the place.
I wished I had thought about the air before I got into it again, because as soon as I was inside the darkness the air vanished. Some wild instinct kicked in and I began climbing like crazy. Ignoring the saliva and trying to avoid stopping. My destiny was inevitable though, because Sadon kept drinking his stupid water and I kept falling more and more down. The water came more regularly now but in smaller amounts, which I was thankful for because it gave me air and didn't push me all the way down any more. But as my hands slipped on saliva I suddenly felt something rough. Something that wasn't meant to be there. I couldn't quite think of any logical answer. Had my clothes been ripped of as I had been falling? No, I was fully intact and saliva don't rip. Had my dagger made a wound? No chance, it was in the scabbard. Then what was it? I had stopped to inspect the rough thing and was totally unprepared when another gust of water came falling down my head. This time it was more and I could suddenly see the stomach underneath me again. Damn!
I grabbed hold of the rough thing and felt it come down easily as I fell into the neon blue water. I lost hold of it before I opened my eyes because my lunges burned: meaning I needed air desperately. Up. I told myself. I need to get up! My arms began moving of own free will and even before I had managed to open my eyes I was moving towards the closing exit. And that's when I saw the rough thing I had been holding just a moment ago. It was a small rope.
I stopped swimming, my main goal was getting to the rope. Every muscle in my body ached and tears were running down my face. I think I cried, but who knows when you're covered in water. I closed my eyes feeling tired. There was no chance... I had lost, I couldn't get to it. I had no chance. I was dead. My fate had been decided the day I was tricked into trying the potion. But it was alright, I still loved him. Even if he killed me I could never hate him. And I knew he loved me. And that was all that mattered.
My lunges suddenly cried of pain as they were filled with delicious, yet painful, oxygen. I had to open my eyes with force, yet I couldn't tell if I was still alive or not. The darkness devoured my whole being. I could feel it getting towed through a tight space and I was holding a rough object between my hands. The rope! Dear God I was being saved!
I squinted my eyes as the sudden light was too strong for me to handle. Sadons mouth was open and he was holding the rope, carefully pulling me out. He stood perfectly still, the only thing that moved were his hands and the rope. Even the uvula laid glued to the back of his throat as he was facing up. His teeth greeted me like castle walls and his tongue like a sentinel watching over the whole place. "Guarding the paradise." I told myself as I passed it and came into the strange light outside his mouth.
Sadon held me in his hand, like the most precious thing in the world. His eyes shone with happiness.
"I knew you could make it."
