Huginn was good at making friends. In fact, he was so good, that they tended to stick around forever once he had his way. After all, it was very difficult for them to leave his side once they became a part of it!

The enormous gryphon tossed his head back. Wedged precariously between the vertices of the powerful yellow beak, was a nice sized badger. Huginn opened his mouth as wide as he could, eager to introduce his latest buddy to his hospitably waiting belly. Strong foreclaws clenched desperately upon the gryphon's jaw, but not powerful enough to belay the slow descent that the badger's heavy lower body was succumbing to.

When the gryphon had said he would show the mustelid something he had never seen before, he had not been prepared for this. His eyes rolled in panic as they beheld the curves of his own form kicking beneath Huginn's fluffy hide. One poor decision in who he kept company with, and here he was, prey! Somebody's dinner! A shameful fate for a badger...

But no matter how tenacious, once you started that inexorable slide, there was no escape. Bit by bit the badger lost ground, his feet descending uselessly into the yielding expanse of the avian's stomach. Huginn could only smile reassuringly at the panicked meal stuffing his craw. Only the most delectable of his pals got to experience this kind of closeness with him.

The gryphon regarded his friend with one last fond gaze before closing his eyes and pulling the badger fully inside his throat with a final toss and gulp. Peristalsis pushed the wriggling bolus down even further, securing the meal completely as the stomach rippled and sealed around him.

Huginn allowed himself only the tiniest burp so that his friend wasn't completely deprived of air, and settled down, fluffing up as birds do with smug satisfaction. The stubborn squirming within his distended paunch was quite admirable, really, and actually felt quite nice. He had been a nice badger, but it was undeniable that he made an even nicer bit of bulge!
