After spending the entire time on the sidelines X-23 finally decides she wants to get in on the action. She wants to be eaten.

This chapter might have gotten a bit intense but this just going to the logical conclusion of what happens when you introduce a girl with suicidal depression to an extremely pleasurable way to die.


I’m pretty proud that I managed to get Laura’s personality right. When I started using her character back in #4 all I knew about her was that she was Wolverine’s clone. Even her appearance in #6 she spoke way too casually for it too feel right.


So I went through three concepts of this one before deciding on introducing Hope as the deuteragonist of this chapter. The very first one was where after her conversation with Emma Laura went to the danger room to work off some steam and encountered Marrow while there. The two start sparing which escalates into a punch fest which then escalates further into extreme destructo nookie in Laura’s room. And finally after venting to Marrow Laura would convince Marrow to eat her. But the mental image of Marrow raping Laura with a bone coming out of her knee just killed that idea.

Next I wanted to use Hollow (You know, the one related to Monet) who I don’t even think Laura knows but I wanted to challenge myself by using a character who can’t talk because I find that I tend to fall back on dialogue when I don’t need to. And she’s an adorable red clawy monster girl. But that one died when I the exchanges between started giving off this bestiality vibe. There was even one point where Hollow starts humping Laura’s leg and that just made me uncomfortable.

Lalaka: Hang on! You’re fine with underage girls having sex but bestiality is where you draw the line?
Well yeah. Bestiality is a form of rape.
Lalaka: Huh, fair enough.

Anyway. The third one, which I actually started and got a fair way through, featured lesbian vampire Jubilee because… Lesbian Vampire Jubilee. I even had a short plotline in the next chapter planned where after saving Laura Emma was seeming about to kill Jubilee before getting abducted. Laura would then save Jubilee and then the two of them would steal Emma’s car and credit card and take a road trip to Florida to escape punishment and because Laura felt like it. The only real difference between the two drafts is that there was a lot more bleeding and Jubilee bites off Laura’s big toe.

The biggest reason I chose Hope over keeping Jubilee is because I thought it strained suspension of disbelief to have Jubilee be able to eat someone first try with only vague instruction because I already established in #2 (God that chapter’s like the rule setter for this series.) that the first time’s rather difficult without help. With Rachel being shown as a prodigy for doing it so easily when she did. So I guess that skill runs in the family.

Lalaka: You do know Hope’s adopted right?
Lal if you interrupt me again you’re going in the closet.
Lalaka: Bitch you can try.


Anyway, I hope you all liked it. Next up everything’s coming to a head as we enter X-bellies 9! The final chapter!
