Post reading notes:
So my original idea for the final chapter wasdcvv AAH! Lal don’t push me!
Lalaka: Naga cannot finish a story without having the heroes fight Cthulhu! This is a serious problem of his.
Really Lal? It’s not Cthulhu, you of all people should know that.
Lalaka: Yeah, I do. But I doubt that everyone’ll understand what I mean when I say Lovecraftan abomination.
Yeah fine. Anyway.
My original idea for the final chapter was to have an alternate version of Rogue appear who, after finding out that she can permanently keep other’s powers by completely absorbing other superbeings like she did to Mystique in chapter 4, lost her mind and traveled across the multiverse absorbing heroes and villains on other earths and amassing crazy amounts of power under the name Assimilate. I won’t go into specifics but the Exiles would have been pursuing Assimilate and she would have inevitably met her fate at the hands of Rachel after she merged with the Phoenix force. Then Kitty would wrest the Phoenix away from her when it threatened to destroy the earth.
Basically both stories ended the same way except for which Blink I used and the fact that Xi’an is alive again.
I’m also kindof annoyed that I wasn’t properly able to foreshadow Kitty being able to use her version of the Soulsword’s Eldritch armor in that way, all it really got was a passing mention of it interacting strangely with her phasing power.
Next part will be up tomorrow around the same time. And will actually have belly stuff.

Good, kinda sad about Kitty's sacrifice though... Hmm any unbirth in the next part?

Ok... Was enjoying this for the first couple chapters.
But wow this turned into a massive shit show the last few parts. I mean what the fucking hell. The was kinda Rude to do and has me rather pissed off having spent the time to read it.
Did you suddenly end up over come with some emo and angst you needed to spill all over?
They could have just kept enjoying the fun ya know.. Didn't need all this shit.

I wasn’t feeling Emo when I wrote this. Though I did feel the need to dramatize the ending of the series I cared so much about at the time. There’s always been an emotional moments in this series and I guess I just cranked it up to eleven without thinking of how my audience might feel.
I apologize that my story bothered you so much. And I thank you for the feedback.

The first chapters really are quite a lot of fun, and hell even the last one with all the chuck sisters.
But finding this in the middle was quite the surprise.
