Now I tried a different shading technique and actually really like it, I'm not sure if you can tell any difference to it
but I really like how the overall picture looks and feel like I've been improving quite a bit!!

I don't know if you really care, but I can definitely 'tell' the difference in shading techniques between these two most recent pictures.

This one here is definitely 'darker' than the first one, but since there is not 'as much' in this picture, the difference does not take away from the overall appearance in this picture.

I will say this though, if you have a lot of dark colors and designs in a picture, you may not want to go with this technique merely for the fact that people might not be able to see all the tiny little details and appreciate all your hard work :)

Well the shading technique was more so for skin tone, hair, etc.
The reason why the picture is so dark is because little lighting in the castle (and also because the piece is so bright because of the background adding an unnecessary glow and it just makes it odd and unpleasing lol)

Ah, okay, well I was able to see this picture in the process of being made, so I could only comment on what I see :) And yes, bright glows tends to "distract" from the quality of the art xD

and ty for taking my 'two cents' into consideration ;P
