Yuck. I know how i hate getting hair in my mouth, can't imagine coughing up all the furr of 4 horses. Guess the saliva and stomach juices will force it all into a lump, but there will always be some hair that gets stuck in your mouth.

I do like the idea of preds not being able to digest fur or clothes and often refer to that in stories and sometimes in art. I can go either way on bones being digestible, but as far as I can tell, even the critters that can digest bones - hyenas, sharks, alligators and various reptiles and amphibians - can't digest hair. I speculate that the nutrition returned from digesting it would be not worth the effort of producing the enzymes needed.
