Chris decided it was probably a better idea to go to the kitty than the hungry dragon. He slowly and calmly (at least as best as he could) approached the table Sam was sitting at and took the seat across from her. Sam looked up briefly, and Chris exchanged a friendly, shy smile with her as a simple polite greeting. She smiled back and happily went right back to reading, completely unaware.

Sally however was not so happy. She leaned over the bookshelf, an expression full of shock and horror as she saw Chris get comfy across from Samantha. Chris figured his decision made the dragon quite unhappy.
