Sally hung around for quite a while, making all kinds of upset faces, pacing around a bit, and groaning as Chris just continued to sit there. Eventually, Sally huffed sadly, and left! She just walked away! Right out the door! Chris guessed it was too much trouble for her, but then he slowly put 2 and 2 together.

Sally was probably hunting after Samantha in the hopes that she would eventually be alone, so that she could snarf her and get away without anybody even knowing. Similar to what Chris was planning. She probably cannot risk anyone seeing anything due to her standing as an anti-snarfer in the Young Defenders. Chris figured that because he was a witness to Samantha, and heck, Samantha was a witness to him, She couldn't make a move and just decided to go elsewhere.

Wow! Chris defeated a dragon by sitting in a chair! Who would've known that was possible?

But he isn't out of the woods quite yet...
