This is the fifth chapter in the series.

At the end of chapter four, I said the fifth and final chapter would be called "Endgame". I started writing it, then decided I wasn't happy with it, and stopped. I changed tack completely, and "Borderlines" is the result. My thanks go to nightsvallow (on deviantArt) and Vixen20 for providing some of the inspiration or impetus I needed.

"Endgame" would have been quite a big time jump. "Borderlines" takes us forward a much shorter amount of time (about four and a half years). And I've already got ideas for two further chapters after this.

As with the previous chapters, this is set in the original Star Wars Expanded Universe canon (and therefore ignores the events of The Force Awakens). I've drawn from that canon for background, and for the chronology of events in the galaxy.
