Woo, she's a tall gal, almost as big as I am . She seems like she's just sort of around, rather than motivated to particularly do anything. Is she the sort that really only acts when something is threatening her creation or about to throw off some of the basic tenets of that existance?

Yeah. She's a very neutral piece. She doesn't care what others want or what others need. She just is. And keeps the structure of reality stable.
