Adventure RPG What If? #3: What if we let Tassri deal with the dwarf?
This is an alternate version of Adventure RPG 2-171: https://aryion.com/g4/view/359860
>Let Tassri deal with the Dwarf
You turn to the arachne and decide to ask her a few questions. You ask if she can assure you that she can be discreet with the dwarf, and if she understands just how much trouble you could all end up in if she gets caught.
"Oh? So you're going to let me take care of it then?" She asks. You nod, but tell her to understand the risks. If she messes it up, it would be better if you didn't meet up again. "Yes, I understand all that. You don't have to worry." You also ask if she can potentially deal with the dwarf in a way that doesn't involve making him disappear, perhaps something with her mind magic. "Hm... It doesn't feel as satisfying though." She thinks for a moment. "I'll see what I can do, but if I don't feel it's enough, then I'll just have to do things my own way. How is that?"
You hesitantly nod to her before turning to Elykae. You ask the deergirl to keep an eye on Tassri, but not to interfere. You mostly just want someone to be able to tell you if something went wrong. "Very well. I am still unsure of this plan, but I will keep watch over her." She nods back to you. "We should leave soon though."
You nod to the both of them, and explain that they should meet you on the road to Erada whenever they are done. With that discussed, you all finish your bath. A short time later, the two of them head out of the gate of town heading towards Erada. Once they get out of view of the town, the plan is that they'll head north to the mines. It'll be a bit later at night before they get finished, so the goal is to have them make a small camp on the road to Erada for you to find and meet up with them before you all head to Erada.
As night falls, you start to get ready to head out. The town is quiet as you leave the gates. Though it may be night, you're not too worried. You take flight and soar above the treeline along the road to Erada, free from worry of getting attacked by anything on the ground. Your experience with harpies at night has led you to keep a close eye on the sky though, but you end up having little to worry about. A ways down the road, you finally spot a campfire and Tassri standing nearby.
You gently set down nearby and approach the camp. The very first thing you notice is that there's someone else here, and it's obvious that they didn't come willingly. A man lies near the arachne, tied up in some webbing, though he appears to be knocked out. You also notice Elykae appearing to be asleep nearby.
The final thing you notice as you approach is that Tassri's spider-like body looks to be completely stuffed, nearly dragging against the ground. Not only that, but there appears to be a form in her human-like belly as well. Something certainly didn't go quite right.
"Oh, there you are." She gives you a smile as you approach. You don't waste any time, asking what exactly happened. "Ah, well..." She looks around at Elykae and the wrapped up man. "There were some issues. I figured you would appreciate it if there weren't any witnesses." You frown at that, explaining that this is probably going to cause issues. "Hm... I guess I should explain."
"I went in and attempted to speak with the dwarf." She starts to explain. "I assumed you'd prefer it if I could peacefully settle this. However, the little man wanted to hear nothing of it. After that, I attempted some magic, but I could tell that it wasn't going to have the effect needed." She pauses for a moment. "After all that, it was decided that I would do things my way. Unfortunately, the dwarf made more noise than expected, and his bodyguards had to be dealt with." She looks over at Elykae. "The deer joined in, against my wishes. She ended up getting a bit hurt, which is why she's resting already." You were wondering about that. Elykae didn't seem the type to sleep early. With a sigh, you ask how many people ended up noticing. "The dwarf, obviously. And his two bodyguards." She stops for a moment. "And two of the miners." She pats her belly for a moment. "I was able to take care of most of them, but I didn't quite have room for that one." She motions towards the tied up man. "I figured I would take care of him later. Unless you want him, of course. I'm sure even you understand that we can't just let him go."
You pause at that, looking over at the man on the ground. You can clearly hear the spider's gut working on melting the others away, so there's no real hope of just undoing all this.
Something doesn't quite sit right with you on this though. You feel like Tassri didn't make a proper attempt to avoid this result, as you can remember that most in the mining camp were some sort of human-like race. You ask her about this. "Hm, doesn't really matter now, does it?" She gives you a knowing smirk. "Regardless, I do appreciate you letting me take care of this. Oh, and before I forget..." She drops a large bag of gold before you. "Their equipment is over there as well." She points over to some armor and weapons. "I'm sure even you can't argue with that, yes?"
Looking through it all, you realize that you're more than set for the future. Somehow though, you get the feeling this is going to end up causing a lot of problems...

Right, for future ARPG What Ifs, it will not be allowed for the suggestions to be about events that have happened so recently. This one was SUPER hard to write. D:
Also, not completely happy with it, but wasn't really sure what more I could do for it.

Hopefully mylady can teach Tassri to not be racist eventually. Tassri will attract the wrong kind of attention otherwise.

Hopefully. That would help a lot.

Da, mylady simply needs to build up to the moment where Tassri reveals a big secret to her and mylady in kind can accept her. Bonding and what not.

Fortunately, our favorite precognitive Slime drew the 4th panel, many moons ago:
