This level took the Shantae Fan Art Community by storm didn't it? It's one of my favorite levels in the game, but not for the reason you may be thinking. I loved the atmosphere, the colors and the shift from lush organic jungle to cold metal machinery and the blend in between. I also always wanted to do a cute pinup of Shantae because the character just has a super fun design and her personality leads to a lot of fun scenarios. As for working on this piece I knew the idea wasn't very original going in, so I wanted to shake things up a bit. I wanted to draw it very different perspective but I struggled a lot, and I couldn't settle on a position that I was happy with, so I went for a more easier (also probably safer) route. I felt a lot more comfortable once I started coloring this time around but the perspective slowed me down a lot. Also, this piece reminds me of another pretty glaring weakness I have. My inorganic objects are a bit boring and not too interesting to look at. So that's something else I need to improve on for later ideas. Anyway, I learned a lot from this piece and I had a lot of fun. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did working on it.

Wondered why the designers didnt let Shantae struggle the fish off.
