What if a neighbor plays a trick on you? Even if she's done a prior job for your property to devour all the pests... what if your neighbor knocks you out / or casts a spell on you, or dresses you up in a rodent suit, only for you to wake up, them having called her to come and hunt you? Would she eatcha?
