Also for those concerned for Alec, He can shake this one off, he's witnessed and been through far worse as a career scout.
Sleeping "close by" Morai definitely reduces the chances of dangerous situations, but to avoid sneakier critters, its just not enough. Fortunately Morai doesn't mind ( ;-) ) letting Alec sleep on her chest (its unfortunate but this couldn't have worked out better if she planned it).
Alec and Morai are my characters.
