EDIT: voting closed, again with a tie between 1.a) and 2.a). Coin's decision: 1.a)!
The first proper chapter of my first ever CYOA story, starring the public's (and coin's) choice Mint Button. The options for next chapter are:
1. Head to Maywell
a) via the road with possible bandits
b) via the bog with possible serpents
2. Head to Meteli
a) in the company of merchants
b) alone
Voting deadline closes in 24 hours, starting from the submission date. Whichever option gains a majority gets to be actualized, supposing that at least five people voted.
And remember, fatal ends are fatal for good! So whether you're rooting for Mint or wish to give the stage for Flare Tail, make your vote count.
Lastly, I'd welcome advice as to which file type to use in uploading to preserve formatting the best! The docx seems to eliminate the spaces between paragraphs even when I double them, which is annoying.

1.a) Maywell, via the road with possible bandits.
Maywell is closer, and bandits at least can be bargained with. Possibly try to sell the shop, so there's some gold to hand over to the bandits in case things get messy.

2a,looks like a good start to an interactive story. I hope we see romance in the future~!!

A nice little bit of backstory. I'll go with 1.a. I think. Maywell is closer and we know the place. Bandits might be more reasonable than serpents too.

1. A) for me!
Also, as to the file type, I use 2003 comparability mode. It's on the menu when you hit 'save as' under the name.
