Another reason Kerokan took Enigma as an apprentice is because he knew the boy would grow up to be a sexy thing and decided to play the waiting game. Since the frog does not really age thanks to magic and consuming souls he would be the same by the time Enigma reached adulthood. Once that happened his apprentice got a pounding he would not soon forget. This actually happened often, pretty much turning Enigma to like boys.
