If you check the TV Tropes article Bizzare Alien Sexes, there's several other examples of five-sexed races in the literature section alone, plus, five sexes is nothing on the Eighteenth Men from "Last and First Men", also listed in the article as having ninety-six(!).

Not in the sense you mean, though the origin of her endowment does come from the smaller of her parents.
Also, I forgot to ask, what was that comment about 8472? Some pop culture thing I'm not aware of?

It's a species from Star Trek, they also have five sexes. The only five-sex species I've seen.
