Ah, Midna... Such an awesome character for this kind of situations XD Thanks to the people on the stream to make me draw cool stuff like this ewe
I could have added more detail on some parts of the characters, but the stream already lasted for more than 7 hours hahahaha.

Loved em all ^.^ Shame my computer broke, otherwise I would've watched these beauties come to life.

Regardless, they're all fabulous. Excellent job

I'll have to see if it can run it. Especially if I have a shot at a request.

manv

Posted by manv 7 years ago Report

Definitively. Sincerely, everyone who has been in the chat of our streams has gotten a request once or more. So the chances are high XD

Well this is definitely an interesting take on perspective and foreshortening. You rarely see that kinda thing, and I applaud you for trying it out. Though, I do think it could use some work, such as somewhat stronger or harsher shading, to really convey that sense of distance. That and, Zelda's head might just be too large. Still, I like the effort, it says a lot. And I like Zelda's expression you gave her too. It's one of worry, but also one of no urgency, haha.

However, I think the biggest mistake was Midna's neck. It's, well, broken. Or at the very least it's a definite strain on that neck of hers. I can chaulk it up to a simple mistake, no biggie there.

So all in all, I like what the picture tried to be more than what was the end result, you know? I still like it, and you've really made some serious progress since I first saw you on here. Hopefully you keep trying new stuff like you did here. Rooting for you now.

XD Well, the size of the head is actually perfect. I use a 3d program, so I can't mess that up. Midna is about half the size compared to Zelda ewe
As for the neck XD Oh, well. I wanted both faces to be visible, so I had to make that sacrifice ha !
Thanks, thanks. Though, I might stop drawing when I start college.

Ahh a 3D program, I see. Well, I mention her head possibly being too large in terms of perspective and such. I personally could tell you were trying to convey distance, but it was a little difficult. It's why I mentioned it.

And glad to see you agreed about the neck! Hah, sacrifices suck but, sometimes you gotta do em. Though a cutaway of Midna's face could have also worked, but atleast I understand the why behind the choice. Fair enough right?

A shame you might stop, but I can understand why. I'm starting college myself soon and, boy do I expect it to either be a cakewalk, or a constant annoyance. Hopefully you don't have to stop, but hey, life matters yeah? If you do keep drawing, you can bet I'll be cheering you on during it.

Well, the problem is that I have to work while studying -_- So no choice for me.
Ah, and the 3d program takes care of perspective for me XD

Such are the facts of life eh? Oh well, I'm sure you can probably find some time. I have some friends in this sorta situation too.

And I definitely could see that being true. Still, I think more intense, strong shading can definitely help with perspective in the future. Plus more shading overall is usually a good thing I'd say.

I don't like doing strong shading. I like flat looking shading ewe I tried both already.
