Ohhh haha I love that even when in a situation like this, our protagonist still has some aura of elegance.
1 seems like the riskiest option with too many uncertainties...but also the most interesting one I find. It's nice to get more information about what they were really planning, and well, a nutritious breakfast would be a good compensation for all the trouble she had gotten us into...
So I'll vote for 1.
Anyways, this escalated quickly. Keys to the kingdom, then they let us go. Wow. Okay, it seems everyone's pretty set on number 1, even though we don't know if she knows anything. We could just be wasting our time and making more enemies in the process. Another thing, who's to say when we get to the estate the noble won't recognize his pet's killer. Wouldn't that be an awkward mark on a job application?
After thinking it over, I'm going with number 1. We don't have to burn bridges to get what we want remember? We just need to remind her that we saved her life. Eating her, while I'd enjoy that, wouldn't be a good idea, yet.
I know and I am so sorry about the delay! It looks like the dreaded Real Life has finally caught up with me. I will strive to remedy the situation at the earliest possibility!
As a small comfort I'll be publishing today another fic I wrote as a gift for a friend.
