I guess nowadays Naga or Lamia are meaning more like 'Snake girl' lol
Though I would say that Nowadays Lamia is used more in Asian culture, and Naga is used more in Western culture.

Btw, I didn't mean the origination at all, but 'nowadays' for the second part.
Thinking about the origination, it's weirdly reversed though lol
I really haven't seen anyone calling a top-human bottom-snake monster as 'Naga' but Lamia around where I am, including myself.
I started to call it 'Naga' after I started to be active in western sites, such as here.
But it's 'observed' by myself, who's not a professional on culture or psychology.
So It may not be true.
