A wandering hobo spots what to him is a tempting target: the local "weird kid". But even weird kids have friends. Predatory ones, in this case.

Considering the hobo's habits with little kids, he deserved to get gurgled up in a badger.

He certainly deserved it more than the last people Philip fed to his friends. Don't mess with the weird kid, he's not very discriminating as to who he gets mad at and you'd fit easily inside several of his friends.
