Honestly I'm really disappointed to lose Canis, she was cute, and after her recent victory I would have liked for her to stay around longer and get to taunt Richard. Then ideally for Richard to get his revenge with the help of another predator. But it was still a fun chapter, and I very much look forward to more.

Yeah, she was fun. Still, I had always planned for her to end this way since I introduced the characters. It would have felt wrong doing anything else. :)

How about a spin-off where it's Canis who eats Maybel, only to be revealed it's Canis's fantasy during her final moments? That would be hot, and a way to get more of Canis.
