By
the time Rex arrived back home his belly had begun to growl again. At
first he was amazed that he could be hungry again so soon after a
meal, but then he remembered that he had only eaten two of the five
prey he had ordered at the restaurant. He knew just who would satisfy
his hunger though, the lynx waitress he had brought home in a doggy
bag . Rex opened the bag but was surprised to see that the lynx had

day began just like any other day that Prey had spent in the pantry.
She woke up and crawled out of her bunk, dropping to the floor with
feline grace and joined the queue for breakfast. The line was long
but it moved quickly and soon Prey had taken an empty bowl and stood
before a gigantic trough. A persistent sound of shrill squeaking
permeated the air around the breakfast trough and, while obnoxious at
first, it was a sound that Prey had grown accustomed to hearing.

Over the next few hours the three cats inside became softer and softer as they melted into nutrients and eventually faded away, becoming a permanent part of their masters body.
