The first thing a mother yao-stalker teachers her young is always swallow prey headfirst. That way, whether you paralyzed them with a poisonous bite that starts to wear off with them halfway down or you just overpower and swallow a Raider whole, once they get a certain distance in they can struggle all they want but they aren't getting out. It's just a question of whether you chose too big a meal. Yao-stalkers are ambitious preds though, as this Raider as big as the little stalker is discovering.

Some yao-stalkers lack the tail and rattle we see here - this young one only has a little rattle, they get bigger with age. If they lack that, there are still some ways to tell one from a yao guai. One is the snakelike eyes and the other is that it is swallowing you whole. 83
