It was at about this point, with his second human meal just about swallowed, that the little bear realized he he miiiight just have an eensie-weensie bit of trouble getting home to digest his meals in peace.

They are. This series suffers from being drawn bit by bit and out of order over several years. I think I fixed the order on FA and linkified them, but it's not as easy to do that here.

Ah. That makes sense. Thank you for clearing up my confusion. I thought I just wasn’t understanding the story progression very well.
