Tagging is more sophisticated than it used to be. "Seal" and "feral" isn't good enough any more, now people want "seal_pred" "feral_pred" and so on as well. I will try to remember to tag genders for characters too.
I just figured I wasn't the only one with a preference for one gender or the other, and in a vore community it's only to be expected that it might extend to who is pred and who is prey.
I mean I'm not on many, but I have I've never seen a single porn site that doesn't have a category for both genders.
Hope I didn't come off as condescending or anything, I have a hard time compressing my thoughts into shorter messages, and this is usually how such comments end up...
Anyway, big fan of a lot of your art ever since I got on Eka's <3
Some sites tag in more detail than others. E621 is insane that way, a single post can have 50+ tags for things as minute as hair and eye color. Asking for gender of preds isn't so bad. 83
Agreed, though I think many tags are there more for the sake of the blacklist, and I personally can't fault the people who want the ability to blacklist castration...
Seriously, if I want to look at nightmare fuel I'll just search "nightmare_fuel"...
I have that issue on E621 when people don't tag stuff adequately. It's hard to forget some of the hideous things I've seen there. Blacklists are your friend.
Exactly, like when a post has like 2 tags, and they're either wrong because of bias (like a trans being considered truly being the other gender) or not covering something clearly visible (tagging "female" when it is obviously a herm or dickgirl).
Let's say today I'm looking for, I don't know... shortstack lesbians?
The pic I find could well be two intersex "girls" french kissing while "crossing swords" because tagging is sooo hard...
There needs to also exist a consensus about things like size, for example a b-cup is small but not flat chest, and where the distinctions between "small", "big", "huge" and "hyper" goes.
After all, there's a problem with having a "tag what you see" system if it's all allowed to be subjective.
You wouldn't believe the hate when I added tags for "overweight" or "morbidly_obese" when it was clearly the case, and being called out for "body shaming" a drawn character.
What's the point with tags if I'm not allowed to use them accurately... :/
Or adding a "hyper" tag when a girl has breasts 2x larger than their head or a guy has a dick reaching his knees while flaccid and being like 0,7x the girth of his thigh...
Seriously...
And realistically, if they believe they need to go so far in the terminology to use "equid", they should at least accept that by their logic, "equine" should be included as well...
My thoughts exactly, I mean on E621, adding "horse" also adds "equine", so this should be easy to implement, and those aren't nearly the only tags that need this.
Another example of why a consensus is needed, on this site primarily, "unbirth" and "vaginal vore" are sometimes used interchangeably or for the same thing, to the extent that it's kind of unclear what the difference is...
To me anyway, "unbirth" means the prey enters the womb, age regression optional but should be tagged if it applies to the pic, "vaginal vore" that the prey is digested or somehow becomes cum, wether they enter the womb or not, and them being used as a sex toy or just stays in the vaginal tract without entering the womb should pretty obviously be "living insertion".
It might just be me being picky or something, but these would make it so easy to blacklist what you don't want to see, and really shouldn't be too hard to add when uploading. :/
E621 also has the problem that any sort of insertion is tagged as vore, even when it plainly isn't. A variety of things can happen to someone sucked into an orifice. The general tag for safe containment is endosomatophilia, I believe.

I don't want to sound rude, but a *lot* of your pics are missing a tag for the gender of the preds

One recent annoyance of mine is people using "equid" instead of "equine", which makes it harder to filter out the endless snowstorm of pony pics. 83

The two tags should be linked so if you use one the other is put in automatically.
